We don't like to have to take deposits, however we have been left with empty rooms in the past by people who book and then don't turn up.
We therefore require a deposit of £20 per room per night before we confirm a reservation.
All deposits are non-refundable.
Your online deposit payment is processed by a third party card processor and at no time are your card details passed to or held by us.
We ALWAYS confirm all bookings, both those made direct with us and those made through 3rd party booking processors. You MUST have a confirmation, we cannot accept liability for errors without a confirmation.
On receiving your confirmation PLEASE CHECK YOUR DATES !
We normally email a confirmation immediately after completion of the deposit payment. If you have not received a confirmation within 24 HOURS YOU MUST CONTACT US.
Hotmail: Sometimes Hotmail treats our confirmation as Spam so if you are using a Hotmail email address and have not received a confirmation please check your Junk folder before contacting us.
Check In Times
Check ins are from 16:00 - 22:00.
We work 7 days a week and have a brief window of a couple of hours in the afternoon when we are off duty, we are therefore happy to accept check in after 16:00 but before that is our break time. Please respect that.
In the event of a cancellation the deposit is non-refundable.
If cancellation is less than 5 days prior to the earliest arrival time (which is 4.30pm on check in day), or in the event of a no-show, the full cost of the booking will be charged if we are unable to re-let the room.
We always confirm cancellations back to the email address that was given at booking time and is the email address that the original booking confirmation was sent to. You must have this cancellation notice otherwise you will still be liable and you card will be charged.
In the event of a partial cancellation (for example a 3 night booking reduced to 2 nights) the relevant nightly deposits may be charged.
We recommend you ensure you have adequate travel insurance to cover you for any losses.
The balance minus the deposit payment is due at check-out.
We accept cash and most credit and debit cards, except for American Express and Diner Club.
We do not accept babies and young children. Children old enough to have their own bed/room are accepted, the full rate will be charged.
Damage and Breakages
Please take care of our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly.
We understand that accidents happen, we do not normally charge for breakages but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.
Pottery House Bed and Breakfast reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individuals stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination).
A booking will also be terminated and entry refused if the number of people checking in is greater than the number declared at booking time.
In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.
Smoking is NOT permitted within any part of Pottery House Bed and Breakfast. Please note that offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for professional cleaning of any rooms and any outstanding balance of nights booked but not taken through early departure.
We do not accept pets at Pottery House.
We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of £5.00 to cover postage and packaging.
